Taking second place was current world no. 1 bull rider Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.) who scored 90 points on the bull, Bad Action, owned by Dakota Rodeo/Clay Struve. Brazilian superstar Renato Nunes (Buritama, SP, Brazil) took third place after riding the bull, Husker’s Terror of Dakota Rodeo/Jim Quintaine, for 89.25 points while “Titanium Tough” Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.) rode D&H Cattle Company’s bull, The Geetus, for 87.75 points and a fourth place finish in the round.
Due to his round one win at last night’s Reno Invitational, PBR superstar J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) was eligible to compete for the $5,000 Enterprise Rent-A-Car “Ride with the Best” bonus during round two of the Reno event. Mauney made the eight second whistle after riding the bull, Little Bo, owned by 4C’s/Sills/Barker; therefore, he collected the $5,000 bonus. Cody Nance will be eligible to compete for the bonus during round three of the event.
The Reno Invitational brought to you locally by Rancher's Reserve will wrap up tomorrow as the top 40 bull riders in the world will compete in round three and the Built Ford Tough Championship Round to decide who will take home the coveted event title. Tune-in to VERSUS at 8 p.m. EST on Sunday, September 13, to catch the conclusion of the event from The Biggest Little City in the World, Reno!
