PBR and Greeley Hat Works team up in a new partnership

By PBR

The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) is excited to announce a new partnership with Greeley Hat Works (GHW) who have been creating and renovating head wear since 1909.  GHW will provide licensed, co-branded western hats to PBR fans through retail outlets as well as at PBR events.

Many new styles of felt hats, in three different price points will debut at the 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas, Nev., and, additionally, straw hats will be unveiled as well.  The hat line will build upon Greeley Hat Works’ 100 year history of quality and innovation while also promoting fan appreciation of the PBR.  Fans will be able to get fitted for a hat as well as customize the shaping of their new headwear at the PBR Fan Zone & Marketplace at the Mandalay Bay Hotel & Casino and at Thomas & Mack Center.  Greeley Hat Works is also putting together a road show that will assist retailers and fans at future PBR events.

Trent Johnson, owner and master hatter of GHW states, “There will be something for every fan, and diversity in the line, allowing retailers to choose what fits their customer base.”

Sean Gleason, PBR’s Chief Operating Officer (COO) said, "PBR has been searching for the right hat partner for a number of years.  We wanted to find a company that had a great reputation, delivered a quality product and could introduce a line of PBR hats that uniquely fit our brand.  We found that in Greeley Hat Works and their prestigious 100 year history.”

Johnson of GHW continues, “The PBR wants quality, customer service and brand recognition.  That is what we do here at Greeley Hat Works.  The challenge for me, personally, was the design.  We have created a hat line that represents what the PBR stands for, that the loyal fans will appreciate, and in true GHW fashion, hats that are new, fresh, and innovative in the industry.”

The fans of the The Toughest Sport on Earth!TM won’t need to be tough to wear their Greeley Hat Works PBR Hats because as they say in Greeley, “there are enough headaches in life, don’t let your hat be one of them.”
