Professional Bull Riders Return to Nampa, Idaho for 11th Consecutive Year!!

On April 3-5, the Idaho Center welcomes the world’s best bull riders as they return to Nampa, Idaho for the 11th year in a row on the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) tour. The Nampa Invitational, the 17th stop on the elite tour, will showcase the top 40 bull riders as they take on the toughest bulls the PBR has to offer on Friday at 8 p.m., Saturday at 6:50 p.m., and Sunday at 2 p.m. 

For as little as $10 (standard ticket fees may apply), fans will experience more than two hours of the world’s best bull riding athletes – cowboys and bulls – battling for the coveted Nampa Invitational event title and positioning for the $1,000,000 PBR World Championship title. “Titanium Tough” cowboy and reigning Nampa Invitational champ, Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.); PBR superstars, J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.), Brendon Clark (Morpeth, AUS), Kasey Hayes (Liberal, Kan.), and Brian Canter (Randleman, N.C.), as well as home state favorite Wiley Petersen (Fort Hall, Idaho) who will be in attendance along with reigning PBR World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Leme, SP, Brazil).

The elite event will consist of four rounds of competition with the first three rounds featuring the top 40 bull riders matched against the PBR’s toughest bulls. The scores from the three rides will be combined and the riders with the top 15 scores will advance to the Built Ford Tough Championship Round after intermission on Sunday. In the end, the cowboy with the highest total score on four bulls will be declared the winner of the Nampa Invitational!

The Nampa event will be one of the featured stops on the 2009 Bull Team Challenge Tour where fourteen teams are competing for their a total tour purse of over $500,000. In stop number five of nine, the Bull Team Challenge will present $10,000 to the team whose total score is the highest for the weekend and $5,000 to the second-highest scoring team.
