PBR Announces Dates for Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour Championship presented by Dickies!

$500,000 in prize money will be available at the Gwinnet Center in Atlanta, Ga.

The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) are heading to the Deep South for the 2009 Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour Finals presented by Dickies.  The premier event, PBR’s second biggest competition all year long, will be held at the Gwinnett Center in Atlanta, Ga., with action getting underway on Friday, November 20 at 8 p.m., Saturday, November 21 at 7:50 p.m., and on Sunday, November 22 at 2 p.m.  $500,000 will be up for grabs as the top Challenger Tour riders compete against the toughest bulls that the PBR has to offer!

Past Challenger Tour winners include 2008 & 2007 Challenger Tour champion Clayton Williams (Carthage, Texas) and Team Copenhagen rider and PBR superstar J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.) who won the championship in 2006.  Other riders who have a chance to qualify are 2004 World Champion Mike Lee and PBR superstars Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.), Brian Canter (Randleman, N.C.), Robson Palermo (Rio Branco, Acre, Brazil), and L.J. Jenkins (Texico, N.M.).

The 2009 Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour Finals presented by Dickies will feature the top 40 bull riders from the 2008-2009 Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour standings.  In addition, the top five bull riders in the world after the 2009 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals will also be competing.  Each cowboy will ride in three rounds of competition and the riders with the top 15 scores will advance to the Championship Round.  In the end, the bull rider with the highest total score on four bulls will be declared the winner and take home a check for $200,000 as well as leave Georgia as the 2009 Copenhagen Bull Riding Challenger Tour Champion!
