Ty Murray to Compete on Dancing with the Stars!!

By PBR

ABC has announced today that PBR co-founder and “King of the Cowboys” Ty Murray (Stephenville, Texas) will be one of thirteen celebrities competing on Season 8 of the hit TV show, “Dancing with the Stars.” The season kicks off on Monday, March 9, where Murray and his professional dance partner will compete against other celebrities to see who will be the newest “Dancing with the Stars” champion. Twelve other stars will join the seven-time World Champion on the dance floor, including his singer-songwriter wife, Jewel; actress Denise Richards; and NFL legend Lawrence Taylor.

“It will be a fun opportunity for me and my wife to be able to do this together, and I think it will be tremendous exposure for cowboys and the sport,” the legendary Murray stated.

Murray has seven all-around World Championship titles as well as two bull riding world titles under his belt. He was one of 20 bull riders who founded the Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) in 1992 and currently serves as a board advisor and provides TV commentary for PBR’s elite Built Ford Tough Series (BFTS) on VERSUS and NBC.
