Canter has been out of competition due to a broken jaw and head laceration that he sustained riding Hummer (Steve Cosca Bucking Bulls) in Paso Robles, Calif., at the PBR Team Shootout competition at the California Mid State Fair on Sunday, August 3. He had a head laceration stapled shut and surgery to repair the damage to his jaw. He was expected to return to competition in Jacksonville, Fla., but doctors advised him to wait another two weeks.
Canter said, “I am glad to be back for Columbus and Uncasville. I am ready to get some riding done before the Finals. I couldn’t wait to come back and wanted to start riding three weeks ago.”
With one 2008 win under his belt, expect Canter to come back better than ever!
