Although Denton claimed the round it was Missouri's Luke Snyder (Raymore, Mo.) who dominated the lime light. Snyder tied PBR's "Ironman" J.W. Hart's (Overbrook, Okla.) record of attending 197 consecutive events in his career. Snyder was bucked off of Rickey West's White Out but by virtue of competing in the event he now shares top honors with Hart.
Also of note, 2005 PBR World Champion and current points leader, Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.) escaped the first round of the Johnsonville Brats Invitational in Grand Rapids unscathed. In 2003 and 2004, he watched his dream of a PBR World Championship slip away because of injuries sustained in Grand Rapids. Tonight he scored 84 points aboard Rickey West's Genex Stormy to tie for sixth place in the round.
See all the action on VERSUS Saturday night at 9 p.m. ET when the preliminary round of the Johnsonville Brats Invitational will air.
