Results from the ABBI Classic

By PBR

As an added feature to the Reno Classic presented by Silver Legacy and Eldorado Hotel and Casino, superstar bull power was on display Saturday night. The American Bucking Bull, Inc., (ABBI) Classic Series brought the best three- and four-year-old bucking bulls in the nation to challenge the top 45 cowboys in the world for the 2nd go round competition on Saturday, Sept. 8.

Rowdy You Hou owned by Russ Gant claimed the Classic title with 89.35 points. The bull added $9,164 to his earnings for the season. Lightning McQueen owned by Kaycee Simpson and JR's Jacket owned by Jason Diedrich tied for second place in the event with 89 points. Both bulls earned $4,582 for their performances.

The ABBI Classic bulls compete all season long in order to qualify as one of the top 50 bulls, based on money earned, for the opportunity to compete at the ABBI World Finals Bucking Bull Classic Finals Long Round in Enid, Okla. on September 26 and 27. The top 20 bulls based on scores from the Long Round will continue to the PBR's 2007 Built Ford Tough World Finals presented by Wrangler on October 26-28 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center to compete for top honors in the bucking bull industry. The ABBI Classic Champion will walk away with more than $250,000 from Las Vegas.
