Additionally, this event marked the final opportunity for PBR Mexico’s bull riders to qualify for the PBR’s elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler event - the Chihuahua Challenge - which takes place in Chihuahua, CHIH on August 24-26 at the Manuel Bernardo Aguirre Gymnasium. PBR Mexico bull riders who were ranked in the top five as of August 11 earned the opportunity to compete at this event. With over $130,000 US in prize money available, these men could earn the valuable dollars needed to qualify for bull riding’s ultimate competition, the Built Ford Tough World Finals in Las Vegas, Oct. 26 – Nov. 4th.
