McBride cures Dr. Proctor at the Cabela's Classic

Round two results from Kansas City, Mo.

By PBR

The second go-round of the Cabela's Classic wrapped up tonight from Kemper Arena in Kansas City, Mo. The world's current number one cowboy and 2005 PBR World Champion Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.) awed the crowd when he dominated Chumly/Katich/R&L's Dr. Proctor, scoring 91 points. It was the third meeting between the outstanding cowboy and bull and McBride finally got his revenge.  Rounds three and four get underway tomorrow at 2:00 p.m. when the Cabela's Classic champion will be crowned.

McBride has added $17,730 to his season earnings in only two nights of competition. As the Enterprise Rent-A-Car Ride with Best rider he was eligible to compete for a $5,000 bonus each night by virtue of his event win in New Orleans, La. last weekend. Brazil's superstar Guilherme Marchi (Leme, Sao Paulo, Brazil) reinforced his elite status with an 87.5 point ride aboard Nervous Waters owned by Frontier/Teague Bucking Bulls for second place. Illinois newcomer, Matt Werries (Jacksonville) rounded out the top three with 86 points aboard Page & Teague Bucking Bulls' Night Life.

Tune in to VERSUS tomorrow at 8:00 p.m. to see if McBride can win his second consecutive event title of the 2007 Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler season. All times are Eastern; please visit http://www.pbrnow.com/media/tv/ for the complete broadcast schedule.
