Lucky Strike and Scene of the Crash Named Co-Champions of the 2006 World Finals Bull Honor

11.01.06 - Press Releases

Lucky Strike and Scene of the Crash Named Co-Champions of the 2006 World Finals Bull Honor

By PBR

The Professional Bull Riders, Inc. (PBR) has found that after a thorough audit of Built Ford Tough World Finals results, that Frontier, Teague, and Ron White’s bull Scene of the Crash will share the distinction of 2006 Bull of the World Finals with David Bailey’s Lucky Strike.

As was announced during the World Finals, it appeared as if Lucky Strike had dominated the World Finals bucking bull roster to earn the award. However, closer inspection revealed a disparity of one tenth of one point, which will result in Scene of the Crash being named co-champion. Each stock contractor, David Bailey Rodeo Company and Frontier, Teague, and Ron White, will receive $12,500 in bonus money and a Big Tex Trailer on behalf of their bull’s outstanding performance. A Gist trophy buckle will also be duplicated in order for each stock contractor to receive equal rewards. The Bull of the World Finals is annually determined according to points awarded by the World Finals judging staff.

Incidentally, Scene of the Crash also finished among the top five for the coveted title of 2006 Mikel Moreno PBR World Champion Bull. Scene of the Crash was ridden once during 2006 by Reserve World Champion Guilherme Marchi (Leme, Sao Paulo, Brazil) for $90,000 during Mossy Oak Shoot Out round action of the Greensboro Built Ford Tough Series event in September.
