Chris Shivers Wins the Myron Duarte Maui Challenge

By PBR

For the first time in PBR history, top bull riding athletes thrilled the packed stands on the Hawaiian island of Maui. Chris Shivers tackled the competition at the War Memorial Football Stadium by riding all three bulls - Shivers style.

"This was a great opportunity to come to Maui and then leave on top of the 2007 standings. I really appreciate the incredible fan support in Hawaii," said Shivers. "All of this wouldn't be possible without our great sponsors like Peter Baldwin, Maui Dive Shop, Cheeseburger Restaurant, Grand Wailea Resort and Blue Whale."

The Cheeseburger Island Style Myron Duarte Maui Challenge is part of the PBR's Enterprise Rent-A-Car tour which offers up and coming bull riding stars the opportunity to gain the money needed to qualify for the PBR's elite Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler and ultimately the PBR World Finals in Las Vegas.

Cheeseburger Island Style Myron Duarte Maui Challenge presented by Maui Dive Shop - PBR's Enterprise Rent-A-Car Tour event in Maui, Hawaii: Chris Shivers (Jonesville, LA) 253 points, $12,407.08; 2) Ednei Caminhas (Denton, TX) 250 points, $6,864.40; 3) Silvanei Carvalho Dias (Gainsville, TX) 249.50 points, $3,879.88; 4) Rob Bell (Shreveport, LA) 243 points, $2,686.07; 5) Marcelo Cruz (Keller, TX) 241.5 points, $2,089.16.

From Maui, the PBR bucks into Honolulu where the Cheeseburger Island Style PBR Hawaii All Star Challenge presented by Amp'd Mobile rocks the Blaisdell Center November 17th & 18th.
