Current PBR World Standings leader Guilherme Marchi (Leme, Sao Paulo, Brazil) took top honors in round one with 86.75 points on Robinson/Tedesco’s Mule Train. Marchi was eligible to compete for the rich reward of $90,000 in the Mossy Oak Shoot Out held at the conclusion of the first round. Marchi successfully matched moves with Frontier, Teague and Ron White’s bull Scene of the Crash to cash in on the hefty bonus.
Understandably excited with the Mossy Oak Shootout victory, Marchi said, “I felt physically and psychologically ready, and felt that I had the ability to get the bull ridden. I plan to invest the money here in the United States. I am very proud to win the Mossy Oak Shootout in the city where Wrangler is headquartered since they sponsor me.”
2005 PBR World Champion Justin McBride (Elk City, Okla.) split second and third place go round money with Ross Coleman (Molalla, Ore.). McBride topped Shawn Ballard’s Dirt Duster for 86.5, while Coleman tamed Page & Teague Bucking Bulls’ Nervous Waters for an identical score.
