The Professional Bull Riders (PBR) invade San Francisco with its U.S. Smokeless Tobacco Company (USSTC) Challenger Tour for a one day event. The Grand National Rodeo-Cow Palace USSTC Challenger Tour Event will be held at the Cow Palace in Daly City, Calif. on April 12 at 8:00 p.m. Topping the list of competitors is California's own, Chad Denton (Berry Creek), current leader for 2006 Rookie of the Year, Austin Meier (Kinta, Okla.), and Juarez, Mexico's Gerardo Venegas. Other top names from the PBR making appearances at the Cow Palace are Flying U Moreno Bucking Bulls' Werewolf Snuff and Reindeer Dippin. Both crowd favorite bucking bulls will be featured in the championship round.

The evening will feature 45 PBR riders competing in round one with the 10 highest point leaders advancing to a final round. The event championship is awarded to the rider with the highest score on two bulls. The Grand National Rodeo—Cow Palace Challenger event features $16,000 in prize money. The USSTC Challenger Tour, Enterprise Rent-A-Car Tour and the Discovery Tour offer upcoming bull riders the opportunity to compete in PBR sanctioned events, while earning points to qualify for the PBR's elite Built Ford Tough Series Tour presented by Wrangler.
