The Cabela's Classic marks the mid-way point in regular season Built Ford Tough Series presented by Wrangler (BFTS) tour action and is pivotal in the battle for the most coveted award in professional bull riding ' the million-dollar PBR world championship. Rookie sensation Travis Briscoe (Edgemont, N.M.) and veteran contender Mike White (De Kalb, Texas) shared top honors in round two with identical 89.5 point scores. Meanwhile, Jason Bennett (Honeygrove, Texas) captured the lead in the event aggregate with a total of 177.25 points after two intense rounds of action. Third go round action gets underway on Sunday at 2 p.m. The third performance culminates with an electrifying championship round for the top 15 qualifiers who will be chasing a shot at the prestigious event title.

As the second go round co-champion Mike White was awarded a shot at the $15,000 Mossy Oak Shoot Out reward, however failed in his attempt against Leroy of Page and Teague Bucking Bulls and sustained an injury in the process. White was transported to Kansas University Hospital for evaluation immediately following the event. According to Dr. Tandy Freeman, White suffered a break of the 4th thoracic vertebra in his back. He remains in the hospital and will undergo additional x-rays and testing on Sunday.

Adriano Moraes (Cachoeira Paulista, Sao Paulo, Brazil) went into the event with an 859.25-point lead over Mike Lee (Decatur, Texas) in the BFTS point standings. Despite recent injuries to both his groin and left hand (riding hand) the two-time PBR World Champion is in relentless pursuit of his third world title, and his career earnings are fast approaching the $2 million mark at $1,973,868. Moraes is a mere $26,132 from crossing the $2 million dollar milestone in PBR career earnings and finished just out of the money in round one.
