Biography

Eduardo “Fast Eddy” Aparecido has spent more than a decade proving why he’s one of the most reliable and respected riders in professional bull riding. Raised in Gouvelândia, Brazil, Aparecido first learned to ride while working on a ranch and quickly developed the precise, fast style that earned him his nickname. By 18, he was already competing professionally, and in 2016, he went an incredible 60-for-66 to become the PBR Brazil Champion, earning his first trip to the PBR World Finals that same year.

Since then, the Decatur, Texas, resident has been a model of consistency. A 13-time World Finals qualifier and two-time PBR Global Cup Champion for Team Brazil, Aparecido has logged some of the sport’s most memorable rides — including 93.25 points on Roy at the 2014 World Finals and his milestone 400th career ride in 2024 aboard Dark Thoughts in Springfield, Missouri. That same season, he finished a career-best No. 3 in the world standings, going 17-for-29 in Teams competition and a perfect 4-for-4 during the Arizona Ridge Riders’ homestand.

A founding member of the Ridge Riders, Aparecido’s leadership and calm under pressure earned him the locker room nickname “Captain.” In 2025, he finished 13th in the PBR Teams MVP race, going 30–16 (53%) and posting a 3-for-4 performance in Las Vegas to help Arizona to a fourth-place finish at the Teams Championship.

Grounded by his faith, Aparecido keeps a Bible in his gear bag before every ride and credits Jesus as the most important part of his life. Off the dirt, the family man enjoys Brazilian barbecue, team roping, and watching “Yellowstone.” Focused, disciplined, and built for the long haul, Aparecido continues to ride with the same quiet drive and purpose that first carried him from Brazil to the top of the sport.
