Biography

Trace “T-Buck” Redd is the cowboy from Malad, Idaho, carrying a lifelong dream that began when he climbed aboard his first mini bull, Banana Blast, at just 10 years old. A first-generation bull rider, Redd and his late brother Ty both shared a passion for the sport that became a family affair. Watching Ty ride as a kid lit the spark — and after Ty’s passing at 14, Redd found a deeper purpose. To this day, “Ride for Ty” is still written on his gloves and vest.

He quickly made his mark in the youth ranks, capturing the Utah Junior High State Championship, a 2020 Junior National Finals World Championship, and the 2022 Rocky Mountain Pro Rodeo Association title before turning professional.

Redd’s journey to the PBR Team Series began in 2023 when he joined the Texas Rattlers, helping the team capture the inaugural PBR Teams Championship under Head Coach Cody Lambert. After a stint with the Missouri Thunder, he was traded back to Texas midway through the 2025 season, where he delivered a clutch 85.25-point walk-off ride on Squealer against his former team — a defining moment in his young career.

Off the dirt, Redd stays grounded in his roots. Nicknamed “T-Buck” by his dad, he always keeps gum in his gear bag, grabs a Bueno Bar from the gas station, and cues up his favorite rap tracks before nodding his head in the chute. Calm, humble, and kind — just like the small-town kid he is — Redd rides with quiet confidence and unwavering purpose, chasing eight seconds for two dreams instead of one.
