Biography

Daniel Keeping is as cowboy as they come — eat, sleep, drink coffee, ride bulls, repeat. The Montague, Texas, native climbed on his first Holstein calf in 2008 when he was just 7 years old. These days, he’s traded the cows for the rankest bulls in the world.

After earning early recognition on the reality series Last Cowboy Standing, his toughness and grit caught the attention of Texas Rattlers Head Coach Cody Lambert, who signed him in 2022. Keeping quickly became one of the Rattlers’ most dependable hands, going 9-for-12 that season and posting a career-high 93.5-point ride on Flapjack to help Texas to a third-place finish at the inaugural Teams Championship. The following year, he delivered one of the most clutch rides in PBR history — a title-clinching 90.5-point ride on Red River that sealed the 2023 PBR Teams Championship for the Rattlers.

In 2025, Keeping finished 12th in the Teams MVP race, closing the season on a six-out ride streak and going perfect in Las Vegas. Immediately after, he went global, dominating the PBR Australia Grand Finals with a flawless 4-for-4 performance, punctuating the win with his trademark arms-in-an-“X” celebration.

With a handlebar mustache, steady composure, and all-business attitude, Keeping doesn’t need the spotlight — he just rides, and he rides to win.
