What’s on RidePass on Pluto TV this week: Leme’s career and 2021 season for the ages
Tune in all week for some of the best performances of the two-time World Champion's career.
It’s been a month since the 2021 season ended at the PBR World Finals, and you know what? We’re still not over it.
Two-time reigning World Champion Jose Vitor Leme’s historic season is not going to fade from memory any time soon. And that got us thinking – wouldn’t it be great to relive some of the highlights?
Well, you’re in luck! This week on RidePass on Pluto TV (channel 720) is a whole week dedicated to Leme. Tune in to see some of his best performances from the 2021 season, but that’s not all – the week begins with some of his career highlights before 2021.
You’ll pretty much want to keep it locked to Pluto TV 24/7 this week, but read on for a rundown to get you started.
Don’t forget to tune in for the 2021 Ultimate Bullfighting World Finals LIVE on Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m. ET and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. ET.
MONDAY, 12/6: The 2018 world title race may have ultimately gone in favor of Kaique Pacheco, but Leme was one of the undisputed stars of the 2018 PBR World Finals. Catch every round of those Finals on channel 720 on Monday, but pay particular attention to Round 5 and the championship round airing at 9:30 p.m. ET – Leme wins the championship round with a 93.5-point performance on SweetPro’s Bruiser. It’s a matchup between legends you won’t want to miss.
TUESDAY, 12/7: Global Cup, anyone? At the 2019 PBR Global Cup USA in Arlington, Texas, Team Brazil rolled to its second consecutive Global Cup title. Leme led the way for his home country, winning both Round 2 and Round 3 en route to the championship. Watch all the action from 1:30-5:30 a.m. ET and 6:15-10:15 a.m. ET.
If you’re looking for something to watch a little later in the day, tune in for every moment of the 2019 PBR World Finals from 10:30 a.m. ET onwards. Jess Lockwood would go on to win the event and the world title, but the slugfest between Lockwood, Leme and Chase Outlaw at the World Finals was truly elite.
WEDNESDAY, 12/8: In 2020, after two consecutive years of runner-up finishes, Leme finally climbed the mountain and won his first world title. His 2020 season was so impressive, in fact, that he didn’t even need the entire 2020 PBR World Finals to clinch the world title. With a 95.75-point ride aboard Woopaa, Leme was officially crowned the World Champion following Round 3, which airs on RidePass on Pluto TV at 1:30 p.m. ET.
THURSDAY, 12/9: Last Cowboy Standing is one of the most challenging events in the PBR to win. But this year in Cheyenne, Wyoming, Leme was the only rider to go a perfect 5-for-5 – with three 90-point rides, no less – to claim the title. Round 1 airs at 9:30 p.m., while the subsequent rounds continue at midnight – definitely all-nighter material, if you ask us, because immediately following the Cheyenne replay…
FRIDAY, 12/10: …is the Tulsa, Oklahoma, 15/15 Bucking Battle replay at 2:15 a.m. ET. If you recall, this was when Leme set the record for the highest-scoring ride in PBR history when he rode Woopaa for 97.75 points. Of course, he’s since broken that record, but on no planet is a score of 97.75 points not worth watching!
If 2:15 a.m. isn’t quite your speed, tune in later to watch a few other incredible accomplishments: Leme broke the record for most 90-point rides in a single season in Round 1 in Nashville (airing at 3:15 a.m. ET), and tied J.B. Mauney for most round wins in a single season in the championship round in Newark, New Jersey (airing at 1:45 p.m. ET).
SATURDAY, 12/11: Leme missed the last month-plus of the regular season due to a groin injury-turned-core muscle injury. On Saturday, catch all the action from the events he missed – and watch the world title race heat up. Dalton Kasel took the win in San Antonio, Texas (12-4 a.m. ET, 5:45-8 a.m. ET); Claudio Montanha Jr. won his first event since 2019 in Greensboro, North Carolina (8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. ET; and Jesse Petri was victorious in Manchester, New Hampshire (4:30-6:30 p.m. ET, 9:30-11:30 p.m. ET).
SUNDAY, 12/12: World Finals day, baby! Tune in beginning at 5:30 a.m. ET to watch every moment of the 2021 PBR World Finals. Leme went 6-for-6, and you’ll be able to relive all six of those rides, including his history-making 98.75-point ride in the championship round, airing at 9:30 p.m. ET.
Leme’s episode of Chasing Greatness immediately following at 10:45 p.m. ET – there’s no better way to cap off the week than a proper appreciation of the champ!
