The Professional Bull Riders' (PBR) Nassau Open will feature the elite PBR athletes back for more hard-hitting action in round two, which takes place on Sunday, May 1 at 2:00 p.m. Sunday's final performance culminates with an electrifying championship round consisting of the top 15 qualifiers, each pursuing a prestigious tour event win and ultimately the million dollar Built Ford Tough World Championship. Rookie sensation Kody Lostroh (Longmont, Colo.) teamed up with Lufkin Ranch and Rodeo's Black Bart to dominate preliminary go round action with a score of 89.5. Lostroh turns 20 in September and has attended eight tour events to date. As the first round victor Lostroh was awarded the opportunity to compete for the Mossy Oak Shoot Out bonus money. When he dominated the designated Mossy Oak Shoot Out bonus bull Thunder River, owned by Frontier Rodeo Company, Lostroh captured the lucrative Mossy Oak Shoot Out Bonus reward of $35,000. Prior to the Mossy Oak Shoot Out win, Lostroh's PBR career earnings totaled $27,045.
Edgar Olizeira (Sao Paulo, Brazil) topped Roy Carter Bucking Bulls' Cling and Jerk to take second place in the go round with an 88 point score, while Ross Coleman (Redmond, Ore.), Dave Samsel (Stephenville, Texas), and Rob Bell (Water Valley, Alberta, Canada) split third, fourth, and fifth place monies, each posting 87 point scores.
