The PBR is in a New York state of mind as Maverick Days ride into the Concrete Jungle

The Big Apple becomes the battleground in the race for the 2025 Teams league title as Maverick Days brings three nights of grit, glory and redemption to UBS Arena.

Belmont Park, N.Y. — The Professional Bull Riders make their long-awaited return to New York from Sept. 18-20 as UBS Arena at Belmont Park transforms into the epicenter of the 2025 Camping World Team Series.  Stop No. 9 of the season promises electricity in the air, grit in the dirt and the kind of storylines that only New York can deliver.

For the home team New York Mavericks, this weekend represents both redemption and opportunity. After enduring an historic losing streak of 10 straight games — the longest in league history — the Mavericks have finally discovered a much-needed slump buster. They enter New York having won two of their last three contests, giving their fan base a newfound hope as Maverick Days unfold.

Thursday, Sept. 18 – No. 9 Nashville Stampede (7-16) vs. No. 10 New York Mavericks (5-18)

Maverick Days open on Thursday, Sept. 18 — an unusual but intriguing twist for a Camping World Team Series stop. The homestand begins with the No. 10 Mavericks (5-18) taking on the No. 9 Nashville Stampede (7-16).

Both squads enter Gotham near the bottom of the standings but riding sparks of momentum. Nashville snapped its skid last weekend in Greensboro with a gritty 3-2 win over Kansas City, while New York has finally begun piecing together consistency after weeks of frustration. On paper, this matchup looks like a coin flip. The slight edge leans toward Nashville, but the energy of home dirt and the roar of the Big Apple crowd could push the Mavericks to another much-needed victory.

Friday, Sept. 19 – No. 5 Carolina Cowboys (11-12) vs. No. 10 New York Mavericks (5-18)

On Friday, Sept. 19, the Mavericks face one of their toughest challenges yet: the No. 5 Carolina Cowboys (11-12). Carolina arrives in New York fresh off a 3-0 homestand in Greensboro, showing the depth and consistency that have made them a perennial contender.

The No. 10 Mavericks (5-18), despite their rejuvenation, face an uphill battle here. The Cowboys are favored on paper thanks to their balance and momentum. Still, bull riding is never decided on paper. If the Mavericks can rise to the occasion, dig deep and feed off their home crowd, they might just make this one closer than expected.

Saturday, Sept. 20 – No. 1 Florida Freedom (18-5) vs. No. 10 New York Mavericks (5-18)

The homestand concludes on Saturday, Sept. 20, with a marquee showdown between the No. 1 Florida Freedom (18-5) and the No. 10 New York Mavericks (5-18).

Florida has been the class of the league all season, dominating opponents and showing no signs of slowing down. For New York, this matchup is the ultimate test. Do the Mavericks have a chance? Absolutely. In this sport, as long as there’s breath in their lungs, anything is possible. Every rider has the ability to seize his moment. Still, the Freedom are the heavy favorites. For the Mavericks, even stealing one win in front of their home fans this weekend — or better yet shocking the world with more — would mark a turning point in their 2025 campaign.

Beyond the Dirt

The Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation is carrying forward the same spirit of resilience seen in bull riding — but in a way that changes lives off the dirt. The foundation provides access to the Action Trackchair, a groundbreaking all-terrain wheelchair designed to give people with mobility challenges the freedom to experience the outdoors without limits.

No insurance will cover these life-changing pieces of equipment, and their $25,000 price tag puts them out of reach for the very people who need them most. That is why the foundation exists — to bridge that gap and make the impossible possible. Because you can’t put a price on freedom, independence and living life to the fullest.

Whether it’s navigating rough pastures, rolling through wooded trails or simply enjoying time with family in places a standard wheelchair can’t reach, the Action Trackchair opens doors to a level of independence many thought was lost. It’s not just equipment — it’s freedom, dignity and the chance to live fully.

Just as PBR athletes push themselves to conquer challenges eight seconds at a time, the Midwest Outdoors Adaptability Foundation helps others overcome obstacles of their own, ensuring no one is left behind when it comes to the Western lifestyle and the outdoors.
