Hello and welcome to the 2023 Unleash The Beast season! It’s a little earlier this year than we’re all used to, but Brady Oleson was ready and raring to go when things kicked off in Tucson. Plus, Chase Outlaw is back in full form, a PBR Australia champion was crowned and Arizona got a pretty sweet showing from a few of its Ridge Riders. Miss a moment of the action this weekend? Here’s what happened around the PBR.
On the Unleash The Beast…
Brady Oleson’s dealt with a lot in his life, including shoulder surgery and a battle with alcoholism. But he’s overcome it all and earned the first premier series event win of his career with a 3-for-3 showing in Tucson. Good vibes to start a new season!
You know who else has overcome a lot? Chase Outlaw. In Tucson, the CEO of Outlaw nation won his first round since the 2019 PBR World Finals, and he’s determined to get back in the world title hunt this year.
Oleson and Davis, along with Daniel Keeping, split the Round 1 win in Tucson on a wild night that also saw two riders tie for second place.
Riding in front of a partisan Arizona crowd, Arizona Ridge Rider Keyshawn Whitehorse went 3-for-3 for a third-place finish overall while teammate Vitor Losnake finished eighth.
He may not have won his home-state event, but for the first time, Cody Jesus truly believes he can contend for a world title.
