PUEBLO, Colo. – Brennon Eldred will be out four to six weeks after breaking two ribs and sustaining a partially collapsed lung during the PBR-Can-Am Invitational, according to Dr. Tandy Freeman.
Eldred, the No. 20-ranked bull rider in the world, was injured during Round 1 on Friday night at Cowtown Coliseum when Cherry Bomb bucked him off in 4.25 seconds.
In other injury news, 2018 PBR World Finals event winner Marco Eguchi did not compete on Saturday night after hurting his lower back when he was bucked off by Hurts So Good in 6.74 seconds. Eguchi is the No. 10-ranked bull rider in the world, and he trails world No. 1 Cooper Davis, who went 0-for-2 in Fort Worth, by 192 points.
Two-time World Champion J.B. Mauney returned to competition Saturday after a rough buckoff against Wasted Days (3.75 seconds) in Round 1 on Friday night. Monkey bucked Mauney off in 6.97 seconds in Round 2.
