HAMPTON, Va. – Nathan Burtenshaw (Coonamble, Australia) took the buckle at the PBR’s (Professional Bull Riders) Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour (RVT) Hampton Classic Saturday night at Hampton Coliseum. 

Burtenshaw scored 85 points aboard Otis (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) in Round 1 before earning 80 points on Sam (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) in the championship round.  He earned 120 points toward the world standings, $8,125 and an invite to the First Premier Bank Premier Bankcard Invitational in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Dustin Ratchford (Wynnewood, Oklahoma) and Fernando Henrique Novais (Pereira Barreto, Brazil) split second and third place after each earning 85.5 points in Round 1. Ratchford took on Devil Dog (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls), while Novais covered Domestic Disturbance (Cornwell Bucking Bulls). Both earned 55 points toward the world standings and $3,850.

In a three-way tie for fourth place, Carlos Garcia (Hammondsport, New York), Daniel Tinsman (Farmland, Indiana), and Thor Hoefer II (Priest River, Idaho) will each be going home with a check for $1,158 and 15 world points. Garcia covered First n’ Goal (J Bar W), Tinsman rode Slow Ride (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) and Hoefer made the whistle on Zaccheus (Davis Rodeo Ranch/Fogle). They all earned 85 points in Round 1.

Junio Quaresma (Brazil) will be walking away from the weekend with a seventh-place finish after earning 83.5 points on Bad Apple (Davis Rodeo Ranch/Luna and Ray) in Round 1. He earned $420 and five points towards the world standings.

The Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour is heading to Dayton, Ohio, on March 10 at the Nutter Center.

The 2018 Velocity Tour will culminate with the Velocity Tour Finals at South Point Arena in Las Vegas in 2018, leading into the PBR’s 25th Anniversary World Finals at T-Mobile Arena.
