WORCESTER, Mass. Juan Carlos Contreras (Huichapan, Mexico) won his first Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour event at the Worcester Rumble Saturday night at the DCU Center.

Contreras rode Jungle Fire (Torres Brothers Bucking Bulls LLC) for 85.5 points in Round 1 before covering Otis (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) in the championship round for 86.5 points. He earned $6,950 and 120 points towards the world standings.

Winners of each RVT event in 2018 will be guaranteed at least one opportunity to compete at a regular-season PBR 25th: Unleash The Beast event. Thanks to his victory in Worcester, Contreras earned an invitation to The Ak-Chin Invitational Presented by Cooper Tires in Glendale, Arizona March 23-24.

Nathan Burtenshaw (Coonamble, Australia) earned second place after an 84.5-point ride aback Spike (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) before riding First n’ Goal (J Bar W) in the championship round for 84 points. Burtenshaw will be walking away from the weekend with 70 points towards the world finals and a check for $4,650.

Michael Lane (Tazewell, Virginia) earned third after an 85.5-point ride aback Captain (Torres Brothers Bucking Bulls LLC) in Round 1 before covering Squeegee (J Bar W) for 82.5 points in the short round. Lane earned $3,550 and 40 world points.

Eli Miller (Statesville, North Carolina) took fourth place after riding Devil Dog (Mike Miller Bucking Bulls) for 86.5 points in Round 1 then bucking off in the championship round. Miller earned $2,600 and 20 points towards the world standings.

Junior Cezar Quaresma (Brazil) rounded the Top 5 after earning 84.5 points in Round 1 on Misfit (J Bar W). The Brazilian will be going home with 15 points towards the world finals and a check for $990.

The next stop on the Real Time Pain Relief Velocity Tour will be in Hampton, Virginia at Hampton Coliseum on March 3.
