Well, the "Store" on JB's website is back to being "Under Construction." Gosh, I hope his fans didn't short circuit it! Glad I got my t-shirt while it was up and running:) Don't think that I should mention the company's name here, but you can contact me in a private message on the Fan Forum and I will give the name to you there. Where there is a will, there's a way! Mauney's Minions are on the march!

    Rez,
    I knew just one wouldn't do.........hehehehehehe ;)

And I agree, we should pray for the bulls too. They are God's creatures! Poor Troubie - I'm sick over this!

Okie dokie, I got my JB t-shirt in the mail today and it is great! It's gray, sort of a dark-smoke color and is not flimsy at all--a good quality t-shirt. It's tagless, which is nice. Doesn't look cheap at all (of course, it wasn't either). Couldn't be more thrilled. Good job JB. Nice that he's using a local company too.

Oh,and Cactus-Sue, I like it so much that I'm contemplating a white one as well:) LOL!

    TWTX - Thanks!
I would love to have you as a facebook friend too. My name is Susan Hanrahan.
I just got onto facebook not long ago, so my page is alittle sad :)
I look forward to seeing all your photos of the bulls!

Well, iscoffy - you might not get your wish, because the problem last time--correct me if I'm mistaken--was with many Don Kish bulls with zero stats. If you look at Round 1, we find lots of Kish bulls again with zero stats. On the other hand, Jeff Robinson is there with his bulls loaded with stats. After Sacramento, Cody Lambert sent many bulls packing so as not to be in Anaheim. Lets hope for all involved, Kish's bulls have some better outs this go around. I see Renato is on Robinson's, The Juice. I think he's the big bad boy who contributed to JB's elbow sprain in St. Louis, but not sure in which round. As TWTX rightly reminded me recently, points win the Finals, so I'm hoping that if low scores come in, re-rides are given, even if it means we get tired of watching them unfold.

FlashOBlue - Know Pittsboro quite well from my Carolina days. My husband and I left Chapel Hill in 1996, when we moved for a time back to WA state. Loved living in Chapel Hill and would go back in a skinny minute, if it were possible. Loved my Carolina experience even more! Cool--you're a writer. Loads of good ones come out of the Triangle area, for sure. Glad you're a Tar Heel and not a Blue Devil. Sad about the our Heels not being in the NCAA Tourney, but hey, two titles in five years recently is pretty doggone good! Glad you're a Tar Heel and JB fan!

Cactus-sue - I have been trying to get all my pics from St. Louis loaded on my facebook page
and while I realized I took way too many pics,, I also was able to get some really got
shots of the bulls. When I finish on FB I will load them on the forum. I'll leave you a
message on here when I have posted them. Of course, if you have a facebook, let me know and
I would love to add you as a friend..:)

TWTX - Thanks for responding! Skyhawk Cut-a-Rug makes sense. It is such an awesome picture - the way he just raised his head so you got a great shot of his face! Oh my goodness! Your pictures are awesome and what a thrill to be so close to the bulls! I just adore Bones! He is a sweet boy! Great picture of him too! Thanks for sharing your special adventure!!!!

bigBullFan - I'm with you - when I go to the events, it is to see the bulls up close and learn as much as I can about them. Have a great time in Fresno! and if you get any great pictures of the bulls, please post them!!

Very sad to hear ALL IN is not in Fresno. Hope he is ok!!!!!

A VERY GOOD DAY TO ALL!

Cactus-sue - I think I have determined the spotted bull to be Skyhawk Cut a Rug. And I
do believe the other bull is not Chicken. I am not sure who he is. But he is still a
    good looking bull!!

    March 17, 2010
cactus-sus - Well, I think you are right about Voodoo Child. After thinking about it they
bucked Voodoo from the other arena. Not sure about Chicken. I will have to check my other
pics and see who rode him and where... I know for sure the one is Bones. I guess I should
not have taken the lady's word for it. lol... Oh well, I need to find out what bull it is,
because it was such a pretty one!

TWTX - I just hopped over to see your photos - OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!! - of the bulls from Arlington. Awesome pictures - and so close too! I hate to be the one to tell you this but the spotted bull is not Voodoo Child. And I don't think the one you tagged as Chicken is Chicken. He only has white down the middle of his face. I noticed the spotted bull has no facial markings as Voodoo has black around his eyes and black spots across his nose.
Great pictures, nevertheless! Maybe I can make my way behind the chutes sometime and be that close!
And as I am still learning about these sites, I have never been on the fan forum before, so thank you for mentioning your pictures were there. Something else for me to enjoy! :) Thanks a bunch!

You Folks in Fresno have a great pen of bulls this weekend! Jeff Robinson is really working Chicken on a Chain and Voodoo Child (who still is the "man" in my opinion!). I guess since they are out west, might as well show them off to the folks who don't always get to see them in person!

TWTX - how cool that you got up close to Chicken, Voodoo and Bones in Arlington! I was pretty close to Voodoo and Chicken in NYC, and got a couple of good photos - one with Chicken peeking out from underneath Voodoo's head. I didn't even realize Chicken was there! I think he was playing with me!!! Once I saw him, each time I called his name, he hid behind Voodoo! Then as soon as I moved my camera, his head would pop up again! What a rascal!!!

Wow, I was out enjoying a beautiful spring day here in CT and I obviously missed lots of great "conversation"!!!

txbsa35 - Welcome aboard! Always great to add another bull addict to the bunch! This is only my 2nd year following the PBR, but I am IN LOVE with this sport and all of it's bovine stars! It is so fun to "chat" with everyone on line and I hope someday to meet in person!

Rez - I am impressed you kept to one T-shirt! ;) But I guess you can always order another tomorrow! hehehehe!

Twiggy - I am sad that All In is not listed. I hope he is ok!

Twiggy- thanks for the heads up about All In , well maybe he was feeling well enough yet, yeah he is such a cool looking bull....Naccarato's live around here, and so he is always at our locla PBR so it is not till Sept. maybe he will be well enough for that....thanks again.

    March 17, 2010
And Shotgun Willy, Twiggy, is another rank bull in round. There's also a handful of bulls with average rider scores of 84-86. Actually there are 24 bulls that, by stats, if ridden might not get the rider to the short-go! So, Beau, Cody, Shane, Vince, and Renanto got the luck of the draw, so ride on!
  • Twiggy
    March 17, 2010
    FaireyGirls:
I checked in the Road to Vegas fantasy page and All In is not listed as being at the event.
However.....with that being said, there have been a couple of times that a bull has an out
and wasn't listed on the fantasy page. I did ask Chad Burger about him a couple of weeks ago
and he said we would see him in Fresno, but things happen. Hope you get to see him there, he
    is so exciting to watch.
  • webpbr
    March 17, 2010
Twiggy - You are right, it is not just JB that gets unknown bulls, at any event. Last week Kody had an unknown bull that had no outs in the PBR or PRCA. He had to get on a bull that he had never seen or heard of before, and he was not even familiar with the stock contractor. Also, he was rushed to ride the bull when he was told at the last minute that he would ride 20 minutes earlier than expected. With all this and the injury, he won the round on that bull. So, you never know.

I do know that in the finals, myself and some others where upset at Kody having to ride the worst bull in the entire finals, in the first round, Red Kat. By the way, Red Kat has not bucked, anywhere, since. He did his job, but the bull didn't and he scored an 84, and even JW said that he should have gotten a reride. With that said, several people said, at the time, that is the breaks, luck of the draw, it's a long finals, stop complaining, stop whining. Yet when it comes to their rider, the story is different. To stay consistent, I don't think there should be such a disparity in any round of bulls, for all of the riders. When guys get on SoulJa Boy and the likes, and then others get on new bulls or bad bulls.
  • FaireyGirls
    March 17, 2010
TWTX- thanks for the heads up on the draw being ready , have to say sad that Kody will not be
there....:( but I cant beleive it my praying worked heehee, Pistol is gonna be there, he is the first rider I ever met in person, we are so excited....and Billy Robinson is back as well....oh now I have to wait and see if ALL IN is gonna be there, Naccarto's said that he would be so fingers crossed.....we have never been to an event without Zack Brown or Luke Snyder either, they even come to our little local one here in town as well as J.B. , we I wish it was Friday :)
  • iscoffy
    March 17, 2010
It seems like here on the West Coast they tend to pull some new bulls from some of the more Western contractors... I guess every bull has to have his first out somewhere, and I would have to !@#ume someone has seen something in these bulls to think they are ready to play at this level.

I just hope there aren't as many re-rides as in Sacramento.

Also excited to see Voodoo Child, Chicken on a Chain, etc.
  • Twiggy
    March 17, 2010
Well, I went thru and counted them.....15 bulls that have never had a PBR out before (All
though a few have had a couple of PRCA outs). So it's not just JB that got an unknown bull.
Several of the "top" riders drew these unknowns. I searched for Touch of Cla_ss and his
    # 619 on probullstats and a few other places but couldn't find him, so unless somebody out
there in cyber world has another place to look, that bull is virtually unknown. Then we have
the likes of SoulJa Boy, RMEF Bugle, El Presidente & The Juice, all of which have been in the
    short round before.

reznibd-- I'm a writer and have been deep into a second draft, so not much time to play here! I live in Pittsboro, just south of Chapel Hill, so I'm a Tarheel!

Can't believe the draw for JB. Like I said last week, it's just NOT fair that ANY (not just JB) but ANY top rider gets a s@#t bull in round one! Especially last week when there were short-go bulls in round one.

Last year at Jerome's we saw Little Yellow Jacket--he came for the show and Silver Wings!

I forgot to mention another favorite: Crosswired!

Just picked up the mail and guess what I got? My "Official" JB Mauney tee-shirt!

    March 17, 2010
Well it is official, the draw is up and Kody is not on it. :( Not that I expected him to be
on it. But I must say I had a small hope in the back of my mind that he would be there.
Oh well, it should be a great event, but there is always a little missing when your favorite
is out. Still sending prayers Kody's way and anxious to hear an update and if he is going
    to get surgery or not...
  • txbsa35
    March 17, 2010
I hope he does too! I wondered if he was riding there again. He is good, if he can just get a few more wins under his belt in pro touring division I think he could do really well on the BFTS. I have to pull for the Texas cowboys when I can.

for those of you curious about the cut procedure there was an article last year (02/05/09) that details the procedure. The title is "The how and whys of the cut". I found it by going to the more news at the bottom of the "Headlines" and search on CUT.

Hey, Flash. Where have you been hiding these days? Didn't we see silver Wings last week or was it the week before? I was sick for days about Apollo. Now I'm mad at Charlie "Big Bad" Bullware for roughing up Troubie. You gotta love Chicken on a Chain--wow--did he bring it in Glendale for a guy who's been around for awhile!

What side of the state on you on? East, West or somewhere in between?
  • txbsa35
    March 17, 2010
The best I can figure is that several of the the top 30 riders were hurt so that gave the call to alternates and then some of the alternantes were hurt so they just keep going to down the list. I was glad to see that Douglas Duncan got the call. I hope he gets a few more chances to come in and win a few to make it on tour. It is a complicated system to understand and I don't fully get the process of it but I know you need to stay in the top 30 to stay on tour, why that is I don't know I would think as long as you were above 35 you would be safe since the tour carries 40 riders. when the cut process is complete the bottom 5 riders go back to pro touring and the top five (money) pro touring riders advance to try and stay on tour. Someone help me out on this one, why is it you are cut if you number 33, it's only supposed to be 5 people moving in and 5 moving out? That is the part that confuses me everytime. I know it has to do with injury status and past world champion exemptions.
  • cbrgirl
    March 17, 2010
STYGfan-Thanks for asking about the cut, Ive been patiently waiting for a list, which it doesnt look like we are going to get. I heard someone ask about the cut on JW & Justins show last week, and JWs answer was that the top 30 stay on tour nad the next 5 are alternates. But as we have all extablished, PBR doesnt seem to even follow their own rules. Last week's draw was full of riders from way down in the Qualifier Standings. There was at least 3 riders hurt,
so what happened to #31,32,33? Because they were not there? Does anyobdy out there understand the process? I have emailed the PBR for a list of riders on tour, mostly trying to figure out who all is an alternate, because I too am trying to plan a trip.

Welcome txbsa35! Joan Simpson just emailed me and asked me to get on over here and welcome you and let you know that I'm as addicted to the PBR as anyone, I'm from the GREAT state of NC, I'm a huge fan of JB and Guilherme and Sean and Jody. It was my love and respect for Adriano that pulled me into this sport and my favorite bull is Silver Wings, although there's a special place in my heart for Bones, VooDoo, Big Tex, and White Magic. I cried for days when Hotel California died!

    Hope to see you around!

txbsa35, whether you know it or not, you've seen Webpbr & TWTX, they were both at the church
service in OKC. When you came and sat in the Marriott lobby, you were probably within 20
feet of me & my other half...lol We had a "fan meet & greet" with Webpbr, TWTX, Sanpow &
spouse, Mikelee04 & spouse on Saturday @ OKC in the Marriott lobby. We had a great time!

Twiggy- I agree with you there could be alot of things worse to spend our time on these days.
Me and 3 friends went to OKC this year and we went to the church service on Sunday morning but
had to leave the arena for about an hour before we could get back in, so we walk over to the Marriott next door and set in the lobby to get out of the cold. While everyone was setting around talking
I've got my iphone out reading the boards and checking new news that might have hit that morning
and my buddies told me to put the phone down and step away from it. LOL! Said they were going to
have an intervention for me! It was a good laugh anyway.

txbsa35, you are so right. Tiffany is a superwoman and that is a understatement. She is wonderful and so nice to talk to.

txbsa35, Welcome to the boards! The word addiction around here is almost a good thing :)
I know lots of people must think we are all nuts but I can think of a lot worse things to
    spend our time on.

I've been following the PBR for several years but for the past 7 years its become more than
just another sport to watch for me. We have met SO MANY nice people thru the PBR, other fans,
riders, contractors, the list goes on.

We are fortunate to live in the middle of the country, Kansas City, so we are able to attend
several events without having to travel to far. I grew up in the "western" lifesytle but the
other half....well now thats a different story......Lets just say he had seen a picutre of a
"cow" before. But now, he's all in, hook, line & sinker!

Most everyone on these boards has a few strong opinions about somethings but that's part of
what makes it so interesting. We all have a love for the sport which joins us in one way or
    another.

Jump in any time and there's never a dumb question, hopefully you won't get a dumb answer...lol

webpbr- that's good info maybe my guy will eventually become more interested in the sport with time too. He watches the events with me and knows a little about it but for the most part I think he thinks I have a screw loose when it comes to my expensive little addiction. Maybe we will run across each other at some events in the future. I get the JB thing also, I think you either love him or hate him there is no in between really when it comes to him. To tell you the truth, I would be just as happy to see several of the guys win the title. I also love Austin, Dirt, McKennon, LJ and the returning Jody Newberry. I've been so impressed with him since he came back. I would love to see him win a couple more events and jump up there in the world title race but with so few events under his belt don't know if that's an option.
Thanks to everyone for the welcome. FaireyGirls glad to see you on facebook!

Oh yes, txbsa35, I do like JB. I started when my favorite bull ride of all time, Adriano Moraes was riding, just got addicted couldn't help it. Since he has retired I favor our NC guys but really have met so many and like all of them. I love the bulls but I always route for the bull rider. Such a small guy trying to ride a over a 1,000 pount bull but I love for the bulls to be good buckers for a high score.

You will notice rez, Flash-O-Blue live in NC along with many more bloggers. We have grat bulls and riders in NC. If you ever come this way make sure you go to Jerome Davis's event it is the best I have been to in the Challenger Events. Although I have been to a few more of the lower bracketts but I found out Jerome Davis's event has more PBR riders and many more. Jerome has so many long lasting friends in the PBR. Jerome and Tiffany are a great couple and highly respected in the bull riding world.

txbsa35 - Yes I am from Texas. I am also married to TWTX. We live outside of Tyler, which is about 90 miles east of Dallas. We went to OKC, Arlington, then took a drive up to St. Louis. We are going to New Orleans in a few weeks. In the second half of the BFTS season we are going to Tulsa, San Antonio (my Dallas Cowboys will have training camp in San Antonio at the same time) and then maybe either Memphis or Springfield. We went to the finals last year, which was our first time. We also plan to go to Decatur as well.

I am a Financial Advisor and I work with many school districts across the state. Teachers have a sperate retirement system than Social Security and they also invest in 403(b)s, which are like
401(k)s. I talk to them about their retirement system and how that works with their own investment choices, then work with those that are making investment decisions.

My wife drug me into the PBR. I took her to events, because I knew it made her happy. However, the more we went, the more I got into it as well. Then I started to comment on the comment section, and as some will tell you, the rest is history. Not a fan of JB's, but that is ok. It makes for great drama and great debates. :)

VS and can follow it more, my love for the sport has only grown, and then of course when u start with the live events forget it, hooked for life:) I am getting alot of my friends involved but I have a 14 year old who loves it as much as I do which means I have a travel partner and we watch and pick our fantasy picks together we have a blast doing it....we also love J.B. but really love them all ....and only wish all of them the best....but go J.B. cant wait to get me t-shirt....finally!

webpbr-I grew up in Tuscola! And yes it is very windy. I can't believe you do seminars in towns the likes of Tuscola, what type if you don't mind giving the info. I'm a little out of the way for alot of the events, but in this area I try to make, OKC, Dallas and San Antonio. I went to my first finals this year and has so much fun. Now I want to go back every year, which is a good and a bad thing. I just found out that the Carrillo brothers are hosting an event at their arean in Stephenville on April 3rd and I will make J.W. event in Decatur in May so there are a few more around me this year than in the past it seems. Are you from Texas also?

Joan- thanks for the welcom, I've read many of your post so I did know you were from NC and I was thinking you were a JB fan also. I have always followed bullriding back to the PRCA days of the 80's and really always enjoyed it. It took me awhile to get interested in PBR but once I got Versus in my channel line up, I caught one show and that was it. My family thinks I'm nuts also, they don't get it but I do have a few friends that enjoy going to the events but they give me a hard time about the amount of knowledge I have about the bulls and the riders. I love the growth of the sport and the highlight on the bulls, breeders and contractors now.

Know Abilene very well. I have clients there and going all the way to El Paso, Lubbock and Amarillo. I have done seminars in Anson, Snyder, Throckmorton, Tuscola and more. Good country, just windy.

txbsa35, Join the crowd. We are addicted or we would not know or keep up with the PBR so much. My addiction has been for 6 years. I have tried so much to get my friends or relatives interested in the sport and they cannot believe that I even watch it. I have one great friend, which happens to be Brian Canter's third cousin, she likes bull riding now because of that.
    Oh well, their loss.
I am glad "my boy" is JB

I have to say a big thank you to: reznibd, cactus-sue, twiggy, TWTX, FaireyGirls, Joan Simpson and webpbr! Thanks so much for keeping me up to date on stuff. I go on this site everyday and learn something new everytime! I would have never known that my boy JB had a website or the youtube video existed. I enjoy reading your post so much. Even though we may not always agree I love the fact that there are fans who get this sport and love it enough to have an educated opinion of it. I find myself very isolated in my love for this sport. I do have a few friends that go to events with me but I am ashamed say I don't know anyone personally quiet as addicted to this sport as myself, it's nice to find things in common with my fellow PBR fans. Thanks for all the updates and info and keep it up!!

Cactus-Sue and Other Bull fans... I was able to get really close to some of the BIG boys in
Arlington at the Iron Cowboy! We did the behind the chute tour and as we were leaving I
asked the person leading us about seeing the bulls. My husband and I were at the back of the
group and she said oh sure, come on since it is just you two! Anyway, she took us right up
to the walkway right above where the bulls where! To my delight the bulls right next to me
were Chicken on a Chain and Voodoo Child. Bones was just one pen over. I got some nice shots
of them. I just posted them on the teampbr forum site under bull pictures if you would
    lke to see them. :)

Talk to the PBR office. The 2010 Finals point system will be exactly like last year, including the round win points and the final event standings points. The only difference will be that since the finals will be 5 days, instead of 7, the over all points will be less.

Also, I still don't have an answer to my question. Does anyone know what the point system will be for the finals? It was changed from 7 days to 5 days. Did the points change, are they the same, more, less?

    Cactus-Sue,

I know you think that I ordered one for every day of the week, but alas, no. I only ordered one. The women's only come in black, but the men's come in black, white, gray and red, so I went with the gray. Couldn't take the chance with the women's being as small as those on the PBR site! Plus, I don't like black t-shirts, especially. Had that been my only choice, however, I would have made the sacrifice :)

What I wouldn't give to get up-close and personal to our favorite bovine athletes--I'm with you on the ear-scratching thing :)

Yes, be sure to check out "The Ride" on youtube, but then also check out viceland's website, because it provides a different trailer, one with a bull messing up Tom Teague's plum tree--too cool and too funny! Of course, if you cannot stomach our "sweet boy," JB, the trailers might not be for you!

Has anyone besides me noticed the obvious silence on the PBR website about Versus and Directv finally reaching an agreement? Now that Spire Capital has bedded down with DISH I guess the PBR has to ignore Directv when they should be estatic and happy for their fans that can once again watch the events. And now that 18 million more households have the opportunity to view Versus, you would think Spire Capital Bull Riding too would be thrilled since that will mean more money from sponsors. And since those that are now running the PBR know nothing about bull riding or the western sub-culture but no doubt everything about making money, you'd think they'd at least make mention of it for those that haven't closely been tracking the progress of negotiations.

OH MY Gravy ....I know I posted on here yesterday about The Ride Trailer, if you have not see it u need to , it looks so good, can't wait to see the whole thing, it is on youtube then they have the website and they have pics and stories and the other video Joan Simpson was talking about with Rocky McDonald, it's pretty dang cute and funny. Lots of J.B. and Pistol Robinson who is one of my faves as well...I also have it on my facebook page, which is a good place to get alot of info straight from the riders and contractors themselves as well as KRC....my page is under Traci
Fairey , I need some PBR fans as friends, Im always having to explain it to people haha! But it's a good thing, I got a few people who have never gone to an event to go this weekend in Fresno.......so check it out. :)

I emailed the PBR about broadcasting the events that are on Friday night and they said that unfortunately they do not set the Friday night schedule because the PBR does not have a Friday night event every week-end, so Versus cannot block out Friday nights for the PBR.

stygfan, JB has won to many accolades to be called a loser. In fact, I don't call any of the top 40 riders that have made it to the PBR losers. This sport is too dangerous and too difficult to all anyone of the riders a loser.

nocal#1fan, JB's website is www.jbmauney.net. You can order a tee shirt from the "store" and there is a video on youtube.com called The Ride-Trailer, if you haven't seen it yet. With a lot of the bull riders. It shows Rock McDonald with his children also. They travel with him alot. He was baby sitting with them when he lost his thumb roping. If you don't already know that story.

    bookdragon3,
Thanks for the insight. That is always my question, how can I get closer to the bulls? Makes sense - the safety thing and all. Still I would give just about anything to get close and give Bones a little scratch behind the ears!!!!
:) Great story about the bull misbehavin' and just stirring the pot, so to speak. These animals have great personalities! I love the mischief in their eyes! Well, maybe someday.....

Unless you can get an in with a stock contractor, don't count on getting real up and close
with the bulls. Ask one of the PBR people about a place to view the pens or chutes. You might
be able to get some good pictures, but that's probably about it. Some of the bulls are just
too tempermental to risk unnecessary contact. There's also the fact that when you get that
much livestock in proxmity, anything can happen. I was at one of the shootouts a couple years
ago and watched one of the bulls amusing himself by nudging a horn against the bulls in the
next pen when one of them would come into reach. He wasn't trying to injure, he'd just press
the flat of the horn until someone got upset. He'd wait until they stopped milling around and
    then start it over again.

Yes nocal#1fan...I noticed that nothing was ever posted about the cut. It is so frustrating because we are trying to make plans to attend the event in Albuquerque, but since we don't know if any of our favorite riders are going to be there we are kinda left hanging. My friend called into the show on RFD the other night and when they asked what her question was and she said it was about the cut, they just said "we are unable to field that question at this time" and just hung up on her. We have sent an email, and of course there has been no answer. I guess the PBR thinks the top riders are the only important ones!! And what is the deal with saying JB is a 2 time "reserve world champ".....are you kidding me. Yes he will eventually win a world title, but until then.....2nd place is still the first looser!!

I do have to agree that the PBR keeps making/changing the rules. I hadn't thought about the
draft either, but it is at Table Mountain and must be for the second round. Since I'm NOT
a fan of the draft (I like it but NOT every short-go and every weekend and almost every round
at the Finals), I don't really like that but guess what -- the PBR doesn't care anymore! Did
anyone notice that there was NO article on the cut so we got no information except the little
that they shared during the broadcast? Also, several events this year are Friday & Sat. rather
than Sat. & Sun - guess it has something to do with Versus and maybe problems with the
programs? (I really have no idea.) I would guess that Kody is out for awhile - his shoulder
would not allow him to ride this weekend at least.
The extra time on the broadcast is because they will have as a special "guest" Rocket Ismail
(NFL player) who participated in Ty's bull riding program that was shown a couple of years ago
(was it two years? seems at least that long). So I don't think we'll be seeing much extra
bull riding - just all the "extra stuff" that the PBR seems to feel the new fans need or
something. How I would love to go back to the old days of just bull riding. Although I
did appreciate Rocket's toughness during Ty's show.
FaireyGirls--glad your daughter is able to attend the other events. It should be good,
    hopefully GOOD BULLS!
BTW, how do you get to JB's personal website? I would love to see the T! Glad he's going
to be there although I'm so upset about Kody getting hurt worse! I really like both of them!

TWTX- I had to message KRC on facebook about this, he did not know about it but got back to me and yes they are having the draft .....he even seemed shocked....I was very surprised by it to, we are a little sad about it casue since it is at Table Mountain you have to be 18 and so my daughter will not be able to attend it, but they seem to be having alot of activities so she will not be left out :) , they are also adding that extra 30 min somthin about the World Cup...at the time KRC messaged me he was not sure on the details of that....

How many T-shirts, exactly, did you order? :)
I even checked out JB's website - it is cool! Good for all you JB fans!

I wish we could get both nights this weekend - not sure what I'm gonna do with only 2 hours of bull time :(

Hoping for a good event this weekend and no more injuries. Too many cowboys are hurting! Does anyone have any new information on Kody?

Hope there is a rank pen again this weekend! Love those bulls!

  • iscoffy
    March 16, 2010
Right, but I would imagine that Versus makes the determination on what to show when, and unfortunately, the PBR is going to rank behind some other sports in their scheduling decisions... such as UFC Live: Vera vs. Jones, which they are apparently showing on Sunday, leaving little room for PBR Frenso Friday rounds to be shown on Saturday and Saturday rounds to be shown on Sunday.

They rarely broadcast Friday night events, unfortunately. Not sure what the reasoning there is on two-day events, but it's probably something Versus decides as far as their programming schedule.

I'll be there on Saturday, definitely missing some of the hurt guys but looking forward to it overall. I definitely hope the bull pen is an improvement over the one in Sacramento.

From above: "two-time Reserve World Champion and current No. 1 bull rider in the world J.B. Mauney (Mooresville, N.C.);"

Now, that's a new one on me. Never heard him called Reserve World Champion before--I think that I like it, but then, of course, if it's Mauney related, I'm usually for it:)

If you're a JB fan, please be aware that you can finally order an official t-shirt from his personal website. It includes the official PBR logo on it as well:)
