He was named bullfighter of the year each of the first four years that the PRCA presented the award, and worked the National Finals Rodeo for 13 years in a row from 1992-2004.

It is the ninth time overall, and the seventh year in a row that Newsom has been selected. He is in his 20th season as a bullfighter, including 13 years with the PBR, and has worked the National Finals Rodeo two times.

Gorham is making his sixth consecutive appearance, and has also worked the National Finals Rodeo twice. It is the fourth appearance for Byrne, who is the only Canadian ever selected to work the Finals. He has also been chosen to work the PBR Canada Finals each of the past five years.

The Finals consist of six rounds of competition. The first five rounds feature all of the riders matched against the toughest bulls. The scores from the five rides will be combined, and the Top 15 riders will advance for an additional round of competition, following the completion of Round 5 on Sunday, Oct. 24.

The 2011 PBR World Champion will be the rider with the most Built Ford Tough Series points accumulated during the regular season and the World Finals.
